Okay, great news of an approval came today and upon hearing that, we all did the HAPPY DANCE, and that was so much fun. What a blast! What a special memory! Marissa is so funny with her rendition of her very own "happy dance". I don't have all the info but news came through a late afternoon email that we received our approval from the ICBF for 3 children under 10 years of age. I'll know more when the actual document is translated and sent to us, but this is what I learned today. We're excited to hear this news and it puts us one step closer! It was also said in the email that the normal timeline for an adoption of older children or sibling groups is averaging 2-8 months, however our program manager believes that the match will be made much sooner. How encouraging! FINALLY some optimism coming from my agency! I hope to find out much more tomorrow as I'm going to bombard them with my many questions.
We wanted to share the exciting news with you. Thanks for looking in on us! As always, keep those prayers a rolling!
Thanking our heavenly Father for His Faithfulness!

Fantastic news!!! And well deserving of a happy dance. Can't wait to hear more information about your region, etc. Any with the speed at which they have been placing sibling groups of 3 and 4 lately hopefully you'll hear something maybe right after the holiday break.
Keep in mind the Colombian courts basically break between Dec 15 and Jan 15 so if you don't get a referral before around the beginning of Nov its unlikely that you'll travel before mid-Jan. But here is hoping this is your last Christmas as a family of 3 and that it won't be long before you are a family of 6!
Congratulations on your approval! From our experience it shouldn't take long for an assignement. It was only 2 months for us from the time we sent our dossier to Colombia til we had our assignment. Wishing you a speedy journey from here!
