We had some great accomplishments today (well yesterday since it's so late)! Luis began to walk! This comes with such a welcome because just this past week I dropped down into a world of doubt and concern for Luis since I hadn't seen any real visible progress lately. I wondered if he perhaps had some special delays and I, as his mother, was just being overprotective and not perceptive to the real issues at hand. Instead of trusting in God that He would lift our little baby up with the confidence and strength needed to accomplish the task of walking, I sunk into a mire filled with doubt and lack of faith. How silly of me!! I'm sure God is up there having a good chuckle at my actions, as I now am having a good belly laugh here on earth.
Rick's only hours away from getting home (after a 7-week job) and he's going to be shocked to see his little guy walking. I've stayed up very late now (got so busy cleaning) and I must rest for a little while at least. Just wanted to pop on here to give that great news of Luis taking his first real baby steps today.
So interestingly related, today I've been so deep in prayer for another blog sister and her family who adopted a little boy on the same exact day as us. The little boy's name is Isaac and he is such an amazing little guy despite his special needs he (and his family) struggles with. I am believing (and praying) that little Isaac will walk one day. Won't you join along with me in praying for this family and for little Isaac? Their blog address is http://allglorybetogod.blogspot.com Through extending your prayers, a miraculous touch may soon come Isaac's way! Please pray for God's healing for this little boy!
Thank you, and may God rain down many blessings upon you!

How exciting! Another milestone to celebrate. I'm sure Luis is loving his new-found independence. May God bestow an extra bit of energy within you so as to keep up! : )

That's wonderful about Luis! How fun I'm sure it is to see him toddling about!
I too am praying for Sherri & family and believe with you all that God has miracles in store for them all!
Yea Luis! Now it's time to get into things and make Mami and your brother and sisters really work! I liked how you figured God was laughing at you. I was thinking that last night as Joel and I were overanalyzing all that God had shown us. I said God is probably laughing as I flip out. Glad to know I'm not the only one He is laughing at :).
Thanks for sharing our prayer request, and all your encouraging comments. We NEED it! My ups and downs are like a roller coaster. Uggh.
I'm so happy Rick is coming home, enjoy your time together. Now he can help chase! I'm sure the kids are glad to have Papi home too.
Love,
Sherri
