Today was probably the nicest day so far this year even though it held a temperature of just under 70 degrees most of the afternoon and early evening. Karen even commented several times about how hot it was. CRAZY!!! A very sad fact given that we only have on average another 2 months before the snow begins making its way down the mountains and into the valleys where we live. We usually begin to see an abundance of rainy days scattered in those months leading up to the snow, so we decided to be very thankful for the nice weather today. (It's looking to be another fine day tomorrow so fingers are crossed!)
The kids chose to play in the pool most of the afternoon. Even Luis gave it a shot, and I must add he looked absolutely stunning in his swim trunks over his Little Swimmers. He never has really enjoyed baths and has never been in the pool, but for some reason I thought he might like it today since I've seen big maturity spurts lately growing out of that baby stage and entering more of the toddler stages, so I thought he might enjoy it. Okay, so I was WRONG!!!! He obviously found no entertaining qualities in the pool and cried and screamed and clung onto Marissa so tightly in his protest. I sure hope Luis one day outgrows this. All my other kids are just little waterbugs... they love the water and took to it naturally. Both Fabian and Karen learned to swim in Colombia within a week of us having them. It's fun to reminisce how they would attack the water in such a determined way in those early days. They are both so fearless in the water with extremely competitive qualities. Fabian learned to swim first and Karen wasn't going to be outdone by her brother, so she stepped it up and learned to swim a few days after that.
Here's some pictures of the kids and their afternoon playtime in the pool today. Thanks for dropping by and we'll be praying for more sunshine in the days ahead!
May God Bless you and yours!

Maybe Luis will take to the water better after your move. I'm sure there will be more opportunity for water play there.
Thanks for the pictures.
Genece,
Pictures!!! I can't believe how much they've grown/changed! Or is it just me?
The girls are stunning for sure! And the boys are just as handsome! Love Karen's cut! Marisa looks like a great big sis, and her hair looks great too! Luis is getting so big! Fabian--haha, he looks like he's having more fun in the water than out! Beautiful family!
Praying that things are moved quickly and you win the favor of others quickly. God bless!
Your kids just look fantastic. I can tell Luis isn't real sure about it all but he sounds like a trooper and has to eventually get used to it. . . right? Can't wait to hear about their 4th of July!
