18 months old today -- Hard to believe

Wow, where has the time gone? Luis is 18 months old today! He is growing up so fast. He still has only gained 2 pounds since arriving home to the U.S. back in December. He now weighs 21 pounds. He's grown a little in length and I'm just now beginning to see him putting on weight in his arms and legs. There's never been any baby fat on this little guy and I'm hoping he'll gain a little. Now that he's moving around the house at will, actually running most of the time, he's getting more fit. His feet are growing a little but not much. He still fits into his size 3 shoes but I have a feeling that won't be for too much longer. In clothes he mostly fits into size 9 months, and almost fits into most of his size 12 mos. clothing. His belly size is just now round enough to hold up most of his size 12 mos. clothing.

Here's the series of photos that I snapped off earlier this week that led to Luis' goofy poses. After a few smiles and red lights going off in front of his face, he'd had enough and resorted to goofiness in hopes that his mami would stop. He's such a character. He has this playful side to him that is so cute. He still prefers Marissa over Karen or Fabian mainly because she helps out so much when it comes to feeding, changing diapers, and playing with him. He loves his dog, Rascal, although only feels safe when petting the dog from the other side of the gate. Rascal is a very lovable, energetic pug and has been known to jump on Luis from time to time.

Life is busy at our house, and we're so blessed to have fun-loving children. Besides being filled with love, the one other characteristic we wished present in our children was to have fun-loving personalities. Praise God for answering prayers. We clearly have that in our family and it sure makes life super enjoyable!
